When: Thursday, May 8th, 2025 @ 12:00pm
Where: Red Hook on the Road’s information sessions are currently being held online only.
Session opens at 11:45 am. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter after 12:15 pm.

Attending an Info Session is required to apply for Red Hook on the Road

Red Hook on the Road Application Process

Step 1: Please fill out an Interest Form and wait for a reply VIA email.

Step 2: Submit a Driving Record for review to RHOR@bwiny.org – we will send you instructions on how to obtain your abstract once we receive your application.

Step 3: Attend an Info Session

Step 4: Obtain CDL Class BP Permit – General Knowledge, Airbrakes and Passenger exams passed.

Step 5: Interview for a spot in an upcoming cycle.

BECOME A COMMERCIAL DRIVER WITH RED HOOK ON THE ROAD!

Requirements:
• Unemployed
• 21+ years of age
• Live in New York City | Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• A valid New York State driver’s license is required to enroll in this program with two years of driving history
• A clean driving record:
— 4 points or fewer
— No more than two (2) convictions
— No more than one (1) suspension (suspensions must be cleared for at least two years)
— If there is a combination of convictions and suspensions, there can be no more than one of each and the suspension must have been cleared for a minimum of two years.
