Red Hook on the Road trains men and women for careers as New York State licensed (CDL) commercial bus and truck drivers. From the start you’ll learn which vehicle will be the best fit for you: school bus, Access-a-Ride, commercial bus driving, or truck driving. The “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program connects New Yorkers with careers in TV and film production. You’ll get to work on real sets and learn the ins and outs of one of the most dynamic careers in the city.LEARN MORE
Brooklyn Woods trains individuals for careers in skilled woodworking. You’ll work with state-of-the-art machinery and learn the best and safest techniques in woodworking and fabrication. New York Drives combines driving lessons and professional development workshops to help you qualify for one of BWI’s job skills training programs. After graduation, you will be connected to one of BWI’s advanced sector-focused trainings. Once a year, New York Drives also offers security guard training.LEARN MORE
Brooklyn Workforce Collaboration is a unique program that works closely with businesses along Brooklyn’s industrial waterfront and provides trainings tailored for specific jobs that are available. Public housing residents have the opportunity to become NYCHA Housing Caretakers with our NYCHA Resident Training Academy. BWI partners with NYCHA to provide training for job openings that currently exist, and we help graduates quickly connect to those jobs and advance in their careers over time.LEARN MORE
