Summer 2026 Newsletter

Our Summer Newsletter celebrates progress and new beginnings in New York City and at BWI. In this issue, we look back at 20 years of impact for the “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program and hear directly from program graduate Keara, who’s building her career in the field. We also spotlight our annual spring celebration, and look ahead to the summer by offering some resources for staying cool and enjoying the city.

Our Winter Newsletter highlights our efforts to support New Yorkers amidst ongoing political instability and its impacts on the social and economic landscape of the City, including new training initiatives and critical free resources. It also spotlights Brooklyn Woods graduate, Tiffani, and two podcast episodes released by the Robin Hood Foundation that unpack our work to connect jobseekers with upwardly mobile careers.

Fall 2025 Newsletter

Our Fall Newsletter reflects on a challenging year for New Yorkers and showcases BWI’s efforts to expand access to living-wage careers. We highlight Brooklyn Networks graduates—including Emmanuel’s path from ESL bridge classes to a field technician role—share Housing Career Pathways trainees’ mock interviews with Annaly Capital Management, and announce BWI’s role in the new Sunset Park Economic Mobility Network. We also feature an alumni-led cabling project supporting a Staten Island arts nonprofit.
