“Made in NY” Post Production Training Program’s information sessions are currently being held online only. We will return to offering in-person info sessions as soon as possible.

Before the Info Session:

Sessions start promptly at the assigned time so please log in 10 minutes in advance to ensure attendance.

Before attending an Info Session

  • Confirm that you meet our Eligibility Requirements

  • Confirm that you are available full-time during training

  • Confirm that you are able to make a 2-year commitment to working in post production in the television & film industry after training

Red Hook On The Road Information Session

RED HOOK ON THE ROAD INFORMATION SESSION

When: Thursday, August 15th, 2024 @ 12:00pm
WhereRed Hook on the Road’s information sessions are currently being held online only.
Session opens at 11:45 am. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter after 12:15 pm.

Attending an Info Session is required to apply for Red Hook on the Road

Red Hook on the Road Application Process

Step 1: Please fill out an Interest Form and wait for a reply VIA email.

Step 2: Submit a Driving Record for review to [email protected] – we will send you instructions on how to obtain your abstract once we receive your application.

Step 3: Attend an Info Session

Step 4: Obtain CDL Class BP Permit – General Knowledge, Airbrakes and Passenger exams passed.

Step 5: Interview for a spot in an upcoming cycle.

BECOME A COMMERCIAL DRIVER WITH RED HOOK ON THE ROAD!

Requirements:
• Unemployed
• 21+ years of age
• Live in New York City | Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• A valid New York State driver’s license is required to enroll in this program with two years of driving history
• A clean driving record:
— 4 points or fewer
— No more than two (2) convictions
— No more than one (1) suspension (suspensions must be cleared for at least two years)
— If there is a combination of convictions and suspensions, there can be no more than one of each and the suspension must have been cleared for a minimum of two years.

THIS FREE SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM aims to connect New Yorkers residing in NYCHA public housing and HPD’s affordable housing with well-paying career path opportunities in affordable housing development.

PARTICIPANTS WILL OBTAIN INSTRUCTION IN:
● Intro to the NYC Affordable Housing Industry
● MS Office Suite and Google Suite
● Data Management
● And more!

TRAINING DETAILS
● Training start date: February 20, 2024
● Length of training: four weeks + 80 hours paid internship
● Location: Brooklyn, NY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
● Over 18 years of age; legally eligible for work in the U.S.
● High School Diploma / GED
● NYC resident
● Must be available for the entire training schedule
● Preferred: Residents of NYCHA public housing, HPD affordable housing, and/or New Yorkers with vouchers (CityFHEPS, Section 8, EHV)
