KINDWORK – TECH CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE TRAINING

Get the skills you need to launch a career in the tech sector – no coding or engineering skills necessary. BWI and KindWork are now enrolling underrepresented young adults (ages 21-26) for a FREE 6-week Customer Experience & Support Career Bootcamp. You can earn the digital and professional skills needed to succeed in this growing career field.
Bring your valid State ID. Prepare to stay for at least 2.5 hours. You must fill out the online interest form prior to attending. No other RSVP is required. Latecomers will not be admitted.
REVEL FIELD TECHNICIAN TRAINING

This free training program will help you to develop the skills you need to thrive as a field technician at Revel, a fast-growing tech startup that outfits NYC with electric rental mopeds. Graduates will be ready to launch careers as field technicians with the opportunity for growth in other mechanical or customer service-oriented companies. Entry-level salaries start at approximately $18/hour.
Latecomers will not be admitted.
NEW YORK DRIVES INFORMATION SESSION

New York Drives Information Sessions are held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays. Please note that because this program is a prerequisite for non-drivers interested in our TV and film production training, New York Drives info sessions are split into two parts: The “Made in NY” Production Assistant Training section, and the New York Drives section afterwards for applicants who don’t have their licenses. At your info session, you’ll apply for both programs.
All sessions are at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Building 92. Applicants ages 18 to 24 are strongly encouraged to apply. Try to arrive at least 15 minutes early, as late-comers will not be admitted.

“MADE IN NY” PA TRAINING PROGRAM INFORMATION SESSION

“Made in NY” Production Assistant Training Program’s information sessions are held Mondays at 1:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Building 92.

Guidelines and Requirements
- No RSVP is needed.
- Bring your résumé (if you have one). A production résumé is not required.
- Be prepared to stay for at least 3 hours.
- Arrive on-time: Latecomers will NOT be admitted and space is limited.
- Doors open at noon. No admittance prior to noon.

RED HOOK ON THE ROAD INFORMATION SESSION

Red Hook on the Road helps unemployed New Yorkers start new careers in commercial driving. After four weeks of classroom and behind-the-wheel training, students are prepared to take the NYS Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) road test. Once licensed, Red Hook on the Road places graduates in a variety of jobs that move people and products throughout the city.
REQUIREMENTS

- 21 yrs or older
- Eligible to work in the US
- Live in NYC
- Qualify as low income, under or unemployed, and/or receive public assistance
- Absolutely no DWIs or DUIs
- Must have a valid NY State Driver’s License for at least two years and with one of the following three items (no combination of items A-C allowed):A) Four (4) points or fewerB) One (1) suspension (which has been cleared for at least two years)C) One (1) conviction showing on the driver record
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must dedicate to attending full-time training, Mondays to Fridays 8am-5pm
- Individuals with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
