SECURITY GUARD JOB TRAINING

Where: Industry City Innovation Lab, 87 35th Street, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11232

This free training program helps you earn the skills and certifications necessary to work as a security guard. Successful trainees will be provided with job placement assistance within the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Industry City.

Participants will obtain instruction in:

• 8-hour and 16-hour security guard certification
• CPR/First Aid training
• Fire Guard training
• Interview prep and resume readiness
• New York State security license assistance

Minimum requirements for participation:

• 18 and over
• Unemployed or underemployed
• NYC resident who is eligible to work in the U.S.
• Available for training Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Able to pass a drug test

Training Details

• Training begins April 8
• Length of training: 2 weeks
• Classes will be held in Sunset Park
