Brooklyn Woods builds premium-quality, low environmental impact cabinets and wood products that are hand-made by training program graduates launching new careers in woodworking.
Brooklyn Woods designs and builds low-environmental-impact cabinetry, architectural millwork, and custom fabrication through a high-impact social enterprise. Graduates of our skills training launch new careers while fabricating high-volume bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and now, housewares, through a new partnership with West Elm.
Every Brooklyn Woods product has been hand-crafted by a person on a journey to build a new career. Each year, Brooklyn Woods prepares 60 low-income, unemployed men and women for careers in woodworking and fabrication through a hands-on, eight week training program. Graduates of the program continue learning their trade while gaining paid work experience at the social enterprise. Brooklyn Woods is one of seven skills training and job placement programs at Brooklyn Workforce Innovations.
The fact that I can build a career and build something that’s going to be useful for the environment is very exciting,” said Cintron. “Brooklyn Woods gave me a second chance to get on my feet and do what I want to do, and do what I love

Dunn Development has been working with Brooklyn Woods since 2012, and we’re consistently impressed with the high quality of their work. We also value the fact that working with Brooklyn Woods means supporting low-income men and women who are building new careers. Beautiful cabinetry and an important cause is a great combination.
