Brooklyn Networks selects individuals for training who demonstrate outstanding motivation, commitment, and financial need. Every applicant must meet key minimum requirements before entering our training program:
Trainees undergo a full-time, six-week technical training in our cutting edge lab at NYC College of Technology, preparing them for immediate work as cable installers. We utilize the BICSI Level 1 ITS curriculum. Over the course of their training, they complete hands-on exercises with guidance from veteran instructors. They acquire knowledge of industry standards and codes and learn fundamental skills in low-voltage cable installation. All training and tasks are in accordance with ANSI/TIA/EIA standards and the National Electric Code (NEC). Some of the hands-on tasks Brooklyn Networks graduates can complete include:
Graduates train with the BICSI Information Technology Systems Level 1 curriculum, a standards and codes based curriculum. Additionally, they receive their OSHA 30 Certification. The technical training takes place in our state-of-the art learning lab on the NYC College of Technology campus.
Brooklyn Networks has provided skilled workers in the cable installation sector since 2001. We can offer employers more recent graduates for entry-level positions or more experienced graduates for Technician, Lead Tech, and other advanced positions.
Brooklyn Networks can provide you with pre-screened and skilled job candidates, free of charge. In some cases, we can connect you with on-the-job training (OJT) opportunities and wage subsidies where you would be reimbursed for wages paid for the new hire.
