KindWork helps talented young adults from overlooked communities transform their economic outlook and launch new careers in the innovation economy. KindWork’s Customer Experience Fellowship combines intensive training in industry-specific software and professional skills with a full year of highly individualized continuing career coaching, totaling 15 months of support for each Fellow. This ensures that Fellows not only obtain high-quality jobs, but also persist and advance in the sector long-term.
The fellowship covers industry-standard customer support software platforms to prepare students for work in Customer Experience, Customer Support, or Customer Success careers in the tech sector. Students will receive job placement assistance and structured career coaching support for one year after graduation. What happens during training? Our free 7-week training course is employer-informed, developed alongside hiring managers in the field. Our curriculum emphasizes professional communication and organizational skills, in addition to job-specific platform instruction. The training is hybrid, meaning there are a few times we meet in person and when we do, it is at The Brooklyn Navy Yard. The rest of the training happens over zoom. Totaling to 40% remote classes and 60% in person training.
SKILLS COVERED:
Every student enrolled in the KindWork fellowship also participates in individualized career coaching for one year following job placement.
One-on-one and small group coaching is integral to the KindWork approach, ensuring that our graduates have the support they need to navigate challenges and opportunities in their new workplace.
Strong employer relationships are critical to our program. KindWork partners with tech industry employers leading the way on building more inclusive hiring practices.
